Here’s something I heard today that makes me want to roll my eyes until they pop out of my head: Someone sees a black mark (or two or three) on a dog’s tongue and pronounces, “That means they’re part Chow!” Because, naturally, dogs like Chows have blue-black tongues (Shar-Pei do, too, BTW, but you rarely hear that a dog is part Shar-Pei because of the tell-tale tongue).
