I want today and tomorrow’s youth to be able to visit our national parks and world wonders like we did as children and as adults. I want them to be able to see how vegetables are grown on big farms, how dairy cows are milked, where pork comes from, and how eggs are laid. They need to be able to see where the food on their plate comes from and that it doesn’t all come from machinery and computers. Hopefully, we will still have a beautiful world where such wonders will still exist for them to enjoy and learn from. Thank you for the contest!

Wish this had been around when my kids were young. My Dad was a great veggie and flower gardner, besides half our backyard being a garden we had a big plot at the community gardens and I was his chief cook and bottlewasher so to speak. I learned to garden well and to love it. I still do, there is nothing like the feel of that first soil through your fingers in the spring but unfortunately my kids were city dwellers and I never could interest them in gardening but will surely give these a good look because now I am a grandma 4 times over.

    Ooh – enter me, please!
I love tea. I am currently very into Chai teas. I flip-flopped between Cocoanut Chai, Fireside Chai, and Chocolate Chai this winter.
My favorite place to buy my teas is Cost Plus World Market – which I am very happy to say opened a huge store right around the corner from where I work! Yippee!
One of my favorite tea brands is the Republic of Tea. Interestingly, they are located in Novato, CA (where I grew up), but there’s nowhere in Novato (at this time) to purchase their teas.

Now – put in your Shrek DVD, and listen to Donkey … “pick me … pick me … pick me!” :-)

Teas from fresh leaves means more flavor and fresher oils. Mint tea is very soothing and requires less leaves but I am sure the benefit is increased. Just pick a few leaves, crush the leaves, and add hot water. You can even eat the leaves after drinking the tea or with the tea.

Fresh Basil is good with fresh vine-ripened tomatoes.

There are many Basil flavors like the purple, sweet, holy, and a peppery Basil. Each has a different flavor and use with different foods.

Twinings English breakfast tea is my favorite. I’d heard that PG Tips is the top-selling tea in Britain, but when I tried it, I found it too bitter. I’d love to win this, because gardening has become one of my refuges.

I love black teas, and white teas (black oolong was my favorite for a long time) and green teas – all have antioxidants, not just the green ones! I also love this giveaway because I think it’s very important to teach childen to grow plants (to create life and nurture it, instead of violence and death)!
