But first…a little story (I know you’re going to skip down to see anyway, but I’ll close my eyes and imagine you’re reading before you peek). I tried to generate random numbers using one of those online random number generators. But first I clicked it a couple times to see how it worked — and the first five clicks gave me the same number twice. Out of 200.
Now, I’m no mathematician, but I have seen a couple episodes of NUMB3RS, and I’m pretty sure that’s weird to get the same number twice in five “random” shuffles.
So, Sir, Mister, and I went all old-fashioned and cut numbers out of paper. I wanted to put the numbers in something themed, like a human skull or something, but ours were all in use so we had to go with a plastic box. Sir shook and shook and shook, then drew numbers.
And the winners are…
Well, wait. Did you catch that? Winners, plural? Here’s the thing. If I had enough books here, I’d give one to everyone who entered. There were so many really nice comments, and I truly appreciate each and every one. So I couldn’t just give away one book — I’m giving away two. To Tesa and Jammie – congratulations! (I’ll send you two an email to get your addresses.)
But guess what? I’ve got another giveaway coming up on the 30th, so please check back in. That giveaway is super-cool. It’s a plant kit from a fantastic company called DuneCraft. Love that company! But we’ll talk more about that later.
I’ll also be giving away two more of my own books — Planet Earth: 25 Environmental Projects You Can Build Yourself to celebrate Earth Day, and my newest book (out April 1, no joke), Energy: 25 Projects Investigate Why We Need Power and How We Get It.
So do come back — and thanks so much to everyone who took the time to enter!

Thank you for the great give away I can not wait to get this book and start learning with my daughter. Again thank you
You’re very welcome! I hope you both enjoy it.
And thanks again to everyone who entered — I promise you’ll have another chance for some cool stuff coming up.
In the meantime, feel free to hang out and play with the polka dot suitcase!
