Return to Chez Polka Dot
So we’re back. We did a tour of Atlanta, about which we’ll share in upcoming posts. Glad to see last week’s posts appeared as they were scheduled to do — how weird to see technology functioning properly! Too bad the house couldn’t clean itself, too, while I was gone.
We tent-camped the whole visit. I used to tent-camp, as often as I could. But then my parents got a cool camper that they let us borrow, and suddenly sleeping on the ground, with no private potty, washing dishes with a spigot…kinda lost its appeal. So I have to admit, I was being a little snobbish about the whole aspect of spending several nights in a tent. In June. In Atlanta. But my parents have their camper up in NY for the summer. If we’re gonna camp, it’s gonna be in a tent.
Turns out — it was great. Sir and Mister are old enough to really be helpful around camp — not like when they were four and “helped” by gathering twigs for the fire while I sweated my butt off setting up the rest of camp. I showed Sir how to handle the grill, and he was in charge of food. Mister took the initiative to start the campfire and set up the tent. I got to stand around and point.
Anyhoo. The guys took tons of photos we’ll share. And I mean tons. Now we have to weed through them and see which are too irresistable not to share. We’ll also share thoughts on the attractions we visited. But first I gotta slog through my real work and do a bit catching up. That old saying about needing a vacay when you get home? So true…

welcome back!
Can’t wait to see the pictures!
Turns out, I’m going to have to spend some time digging through the photos to find suitable ones. The first day, Mister was having problems with his camera so I passed him mine. Then he wouldn’t return it to me, LOL. And Sir Buffalo Sushi took a zillion. Trouble is, two boys with cameras? Equals lots of butt shots of animals and such.
