Easter is less than a week away (followed by Tax Day but let’s focus on the good things, okay?). I was thinking about Easter this morning during prayers, and then I got to thinking about the commercialization of Easter and all the symbols. Which led me to think about Easter eggs.

I’m not talking about the colored eggs, the chocolate eggs, or the candy eggs. (Although now that I put that in my head I’ll be craving them all day.) I’m talking about the hidden Easter eggs — the hidden message kind. I love those! More than chocolate eggs…mmm, dunno. But I love the hidden messages, the inside jokes, and all those. Like when you spot Stephen King in one of his movies. Or a sly, quick reference to something in the “real world” when you’re reading a book. Or all those Hidden Mickeys at Walt Disney World!

There’s just something about finding these in everyday life that makes you feel so very clever and help you remember there’s still lots of really fun things in our world, and tons and tons of fun people that make the fun stuff happen.

So, that said: I’ve hidden an Easter egg on my site somewhere. Find it and drop me a note letting me know. And then hide one of your own somewhere in the world!
