Condiment love
Sir Buffalo Sushi, again.
I don’t know about you, but, I LOVE condiments! I’ll give you some true examples: I put mayo, ketchup (even though I really don’t even like it), mustard, relish, deli mustard, and onions on my average hot dog. And on my egg sandwiches (which I make myself, from scratch) I put, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, 2 of these cheeses that I can’t pronounce, american cheese, 2 pieces of bacon, ham, and canadian bacon.
Yes, I don’t have the best diet, but, when I sometimes have a salad, I put anything from ranch to bell peppers on there! In fact, I even put anything from peppermint sticks to vanilla extract in my hot chocolate.
Is it just me, or do some of you do the same? I guess I’m just a condiment lover.
But some restaraunts share my love. Like (Home of Burgers and Sprites) Red Robin. They put SO many condiments on their burgers, it fulfills even my condiment cravings! Another good condiment spot is, Taco Bell. Between their meat-filled “Double the beef burrito” and bacon-filled “Cheddar Bacon taco”, I’m usually full.
Even if you think too many condiments are gross, you never know ’till you try! Sir Buffalo Sushi signing off.
[Kate's note: Before child protective services come a'knockin', I feel compelled to note that while Sir does, indeed, have an abnormal fascination with condiments, the foods he's referring to in this post are not consumed on a daily basis. He's just sharing one of the ways he finds fun in everyday meals. He has been known to nosh on a condiment-free fruit salad every once in a while...]

So, Mr. Sushi, how do you cook the eggs for your sandwiches? They sound absolutely delicious! We love to add peppermint (usually in the form of a candy cane) and vanilla to hot chocolate. It’s also really good with some cinnamon sprinkled on top! The 9-year-old who resides in this house created a new drink at Starbucks this winter … Eggnog Hot Chocolate (mix half egg nog and half hot chocolate) – it’s really yummy! I would suggest adding some sauerkraut to your hot dog, my personal favorite.
I found your Taco Bell meal interesting. I don’t think one can get a Cheddar Bacon Taco here. It sounds good though. Taco Bell is one of our favorite “restaurants.”
Till next week,
Krista
I’ll have to try the eggnog-hot chocolate mix. I’m a fan of both drinks, though ‘Kate’ will only let me have a ounce of eggnog a year. For health problems, she says. But other wise, good idea, Miss Krista.
Sir,
A favorite in my family when I was young was elbow macaroni mixed with ketchup. I have yet to find someone else who shares my passion for this. It grosses my husband out.
I’m a fan of dipping. Sandwiches, pizza crust, bagels, or whatever can hold any sort of creamy goodness.
I do love condiments, especially spicy things. Salsa, horsey sauce from Arbys, and Red Hot are all favorites in my house.
